Bringing a Group to Wildacres
Wildacres hosts around sixty non-profit groups each
season and most of these groups return each season. Many groups have
been coming for over twenty years and several have been for thirty or
forty years. With so many groups returning it is sometimes difficult to
add new groups but there is also a strong desire to allow new groups to
experience Wildacres. Groups must be non-profit organizations and they
must come with their own educational program. Each group advertises the
program, handles registration, and provides its director and staff.
Wildacres supplements the programs with the aid of its staff and
equipment and provides some recreational facilities. Programs begin with
the evening meal on arrival day and end after breakfast on the day the
program ends. Wildacres can accommodate about 114 people but we have
groups of all sizes using the facility. Wildacres books the retreat on a
year-to year basis with first choices going to returning groups.
