Wildacres is a true retreat, undisturbed by through traffic or noises of the city. The 1,600 acres are adjacent to the Blue Ridge Parkway and thousands of acres of the Pisgah National Forest. The buildings are modern yet rustic and provide a very comfortable setting for the programs offered. Guests stay in two lodges which have 57 bedrooms. Each room has a private bathroom and accommodates two guests. There are no televisions or telephones in the rooms.

Three family style meals are served each day in the dining room. Wildacres has a 165-seat auditorium for group meetings, lectures, and the many musical concerts and recitals that are held during the master music programs. The adjacent reference library is available for small group sessions and for use by individuals.

Wildacres has a fully equipped lapidary workshop used by the three groups that come to the retreat for jewelry making workshops. The pottery shop is used for classes led by the Ringling School of Art and Design and other small pottery groups. There is a spacious lobby and several large and small meeting spaces suitable for group sessions.

A 200 seat amphitheater, finished in 2003, provides a beautiful spot for meetings, gatherings, and campfires. When the weather permits, the patio is an excellent location for group meetings and social functions.
